Yesterday, June 6th june; the fourth Charter organized by IOM has left the city of Agadez, bound for Yaoundé, Cameroon. No less than 112 Cameroonian migrants, accompanied by 2 IOM escorts, have returned to their country of origin.
After arriving in Cameroon, these migrants, including 9 children and 3 unaccompanied minors, were welcomed by IOM Cameroon, who provided them with arrival assistance that includes meals and refreshments, assistance in relation to airport formalities and the organization of their transport to their hometowns and villages.
The projects of assisted voluntary return and reintegration are supported by the European Union in Niger within the framework of the migrants resource and response mechanism (MRRM).
