In order to drive positive change in relation to irregular migration, we organize awareness-raising activities on the risks and dangers on the road, the vulnerable position of the migrant and the role of IOM. Through participatory theater, our community mobilisers invite migrants in transit and host communities to seek solutions and alternatives.
Indeed, participatory theater is a form of theater where actors play with the public, based on a real problem. The public participates in the show to adapt, change or correct a situation, attitude or behavior of a character. The conflicts and problems presented are thus solved on stage thanks to the public’s proposals. We recognize that no change can take place unless it is supported by the public, so we are pleased to see that targeted communities are becoming more comfortable speaking out.
Our outreach activities set up by our dedicated community mobilisers are supported by the European Union in Niger under the Migrant Resource and Response Mechanism (MRRM).
Congratulations to the young motivated comedians!
