On May 9, the Minister for the Promotion of Women and Child Protection and her delegation visited Bobiel 1, the unaccompanied minors' reception center, for the official co-management ceremony of the center, as well as to mark the week of May 13, date of celebration of the Day of the Nigerian Woman.
On this occasion, Minister Elback Zeinabou Tari Bako continued the visit with a meeting of women from the reception and transit center Bobiel 2, during which the migrant women gave her a skit about life in the center. This day continued with many events organized for women. This includes a performance by singer Filo and the setting up of a fair.
The functioning of the centers is allowed thanks to the Migrants Resource and Response Mechanism forfunded by the Trust Fund of the European Union for Africa
(Union Européenne au Niger), and co-financed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Development (MEAE), the German Cooperation, the UK Department for International Development (DFID), the Swiss Confederation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands and the Danish Development Cooperation (DANIDA).
