The overall goal of the retreat is to provide community mobilizers with the communication tools, knowledge, skills and practices for implementing IOM Niger's outreach strategy. The retreat will be an opportunity to encourage community mobilizers to exchange and learn about the specificity of their respective contexts and take advantage of these exchanges to develop new and innovative approaches.
The retreat is being facilitated by Azaoua Mahaman and Stephanie Eeckman, BEOs and Outreach Officers across Niger. Livia Manente, Program Manager MRRM and Mahamat Nour, Field Coordinator in Agadez, also opened the retreat today by saying a few words of welcome and encouragement to the teams.
Our outreach activities through IOM Niger's four Orientation Offices (BEOs) are supported by the European Union in Niger and the Danish International Development Agency (Danida), within the framework of Resource and Response Mechanism for Migrants (MRRM).
