IOM pays tribute to separated families because of the dangers of irregular migration

On the occasion of the International Day of Victims of Enforced Disappearance on 30 August, IOM payd tribute to families separated by the dangers of irregular migration. To get this message across, last Friday at the center of the IOM Aigle in Niamey, we organized a slam course, facilitated by the Nigerian slamming artist Lasisi and supported by the European Union in Niger.

Twenty-two migrants from the sub-region participated in this training and learned the basics of oratory and especially of slam, a tool that can convey comforting messages related to those who have disappeared along the way.
