The IOM celebrated the International Day of the African Child this Sunday with an afternoon of dance, acrobatics, magic and theatre for migrants from the Bobiel transit centers 1 and 2.
This festival is part of the international festival of street art BIJINI-BIJINI - FITMO NIGER now at its 11th edition, supported by IOM in the framework of the project Strengthening Assistance and Protection of Migrants and Refugees in Niger, funded by the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs (France Diplomatie).
The festival will take place from 21 to 24 June in Niamey and will bring together artists from Benin, Togo, Guinea-Conakry and Spain.
“It was good for me to be able to put aside my daily life; to forget everything for a few hours,” Seydou, 16, from Mali, told us.
