Humanitarian charter flight organized by IOM

119 Cameroonian migrants arrived at the Yaounde Nsimalen International Airport on Wednesday, May 9th, where they were welcomed by the IOM Cameroon team.
It is within the framework of assisted voluntary return and reintegration assistance that IOM Niger organized this humanitarian flight - a real first for IOM Niger. This Voluntary Return and Reintegration Assistance (AVRR) is indispensable from a comprehensive approach to migration management that aims to provide the opportunity for return and reintegration in conditions that respect human dignity for those migrants who cannot -or will not- stay in their host countries and wish to return voluntarily to their country of origin.
Assisted voluntary return and reintegration projects are supported by the European Union in Niger under the Migrant Resource and Response Mechanism (MRRM).
